Earn a Two-year Degree Online in Sales & Marketing

Sales and marketing: Without them, businesses fail

A sales and marketing college degree can position you for a variety of careers in business. If you believe that your talents would allow you to contribute to the success of a business, but are wondering how to get the proper credentials, an online degree in Sales & Marketing may be the right option for you.

An online curriculum developed to foster student success

At Globe University/Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB), we offer an online Sales and Marketing associate degree.  We provide our students with the knowledge and training they will need to be successful. We develop our curriculum in consultation with experienced business professionals.  This Advisory Board reviews the courses regularly to be sure that we are offering content that will give graduates the skills employers want. The benefits of an online education

Attending college online is sometimes the only way that a student can earn a degree.  An online program allows people to complete classes without long commutes or expensive child-care.  Students can download classes at midnight or on weekends so they can continue to work at their current jobs.  Some online students are active duty military personnel serving abroad.  Others have disabilities or live far away from a college campus.  An online degree program allows them to go to college.

Requirements for a Sales & Marketing associate’s degree

Our online AAS degree in Sales & Marketing includes core classes in areas such as:

  • Accounting
  • Business communication
  • Business writing
  • Computer information systems
  • Supervisory management
  • Marketing strategy
  • Art of selling
  • Consumer behavior
  • Sales management
  • Internet marketing

In addition, students take 8 credits of business electives and 30 credits of general education courses, totaling 93 credits.  If you attend school full time, you can expect to complete your degree in 18 months.  However, it is possible to receive credit for prior learning and experience, shortening the time it takes to earn a college degree.

We work hard to ensure student success

Our online Sales & Marketing AAS degree provides students with the same courses and the same emphasis on problem solving as the on-campus program.  In addition, online students have access to an extensive support system, including an online library, online help desk and a variety of communication options such as chat, IM and e-mail.  Our online course management software, Blackboard™, facilitates contact between a student and his or her instructor.

A distance learning school with roots in the past

Our online degree programs are the descendants of 19th century distance learning classes, when students sent completed assignments to the college by U.S. mail and seldom received feedback from faculty. Distance learning has evolved from the correspondence course; students who study online with GU/MSB are not alone.

Options to meet student needs

Our students in the online Sales & Marketing program can complete their associate’s degrees entirely online or take some classes online and some residentially.  They can also take hybrid classes that offer the best of online and on-campus in one course.  Whether you complete your college degree online or in class, you will find that you are prepared for a rewarding career in business or for further study in a bachelor’s degree program.
