We developed our online Criminal Justice associate degree program with the help of seasoned law enforcement and security professionals on our Advisory Board. They also review the content of our degree program regularly so that students receive the most-up-to-date training.

Distance learning with roots in the past
Today’s online education is rooted in the 19th century correspondence course. Students would return their assignments by mail and seldom, if ever, have any contact with their instructors. Distance learning schools have evolved, now offering online students many opportunities to interact with faculty and classmates. Our online division provides students with the same level of support that all students receive. We have robust course management software, Blackboard™. We provide IM, chat and e-mail. Students can access an extensive library of online books, journals and databases. Features such as these allow students to enjoy the convenience of online education with the resources of a college that has provided career training for more than 130 years.

*Students who wish to become law enforcement officers (as opposed to civilian personnel) may need to take additional training, as determined by the state. The criminal justice associate program at GU/MSB does not fulfill Minnesota state requirements. However, a number of Minnesota law enforcement agencies offer approved training to qualified job candidates, including graduates of the GU/MSB online associate’s degree program.
