An Associate’s Degree Online

A two-year degree shows your commitment to your career

An online associate’s degree lets people know that you have invested in yourself and your career. Employers appreciate this and look for employees with practical abilities and skills that will allow them to contribute from day one on the job. At Globe University / Minnesota School of Business (GU/MSB), we prepare students for rewarding careers. Because we have been doing this since the 1870s, we know how to give students the knowledge and training they need to be successful, whatever their career choices.

Flexibility is key to a successful online program

To learn more about our online associate’s degree, call us at 877-609-8889, send an e-mail or follow the links below for more information about specific degree programs. You will find that we go the extra mile to ensure student success. This includes making it possible for students to earn their degrees entirely online, by combining online and in-class coursework, or by taking hybrid classes that are part online and part residential.

Online associates degrees

GU/MSB offers online associate’s degrees in the following areas:

A student can complete an associate’s degree in nine months to two years, depending on the field. However, some students are able to receive credit equivalency for work experience or prior coursework. This can significantly reduce the amount of time needed to earn an online associate’s degree and get started on a rewarding career.

Why online?

An online associate’s degree program is often a good option for people with busy work lives or family responsibilities, or who live far from a college campus. For people on active military duty, an online degree is usually the only way they can earn a degree while deployed abroad. People with disabilities or those without reliable transportation often find online classes to be the best way to get a college education.

Even though you are online, you are not alone

Online education has its roots in 19th century correspondence courses. Students hundreds of miles away from any school would mail their completed assignments to the college. They seldom received any feedback and never talked with an instructor.

Distance learning in the 21st century is very different. At GU/MSB, our students receive the same level of support and personal attention that characterizes all our college programs. We provide robust software that encourages communication as well as an online library and help desk. You will be in frequent contact with your instructor and be able to interact with your classmates.

Online degrees developed by professionals

Whether you earn your associate’s degree online or on-campus, you can be confident that your college classes will provide you with the skills you will need in the future. We consult with advisory boards made up of professionals who know exactly what employers want, as they are usually employers themselves. These boards review the content of classes and degree requirements regularly, ensuring that our students always graduate with the educational background they will need.
